DURHAM VA
BRAND IDENTITY
In 2018-2019, I designed a new brand identity for the Durham VA Health Care System, at the request of system executive leadership. The images shown here represent selected pages from the brand identity guide. The new identity incorporated some aspects of existing Veterans Affairs identity guidelines, with additional customizations for local use.
The brand was adopted and began rolling out throughout the organization in 2019. Updated items included all printed marketing collateral, signage, business cards, stationary (letterhead), presentations, staff apparel, social media images and graphics, videos and more.
FORT BELVOIR COMMUNITY HOSPITAL PAVILION LOGOS
Leading up to the opening of Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in 2010, a team developed the nature-themed visual identity for the pavilions which would be part of the new $1 billion military hospital. After I began working at the hospital, I took on the responsibility of managing these logos as part of the overall hospital visual identity. During construction, five pavilion logos were created — Meadows, Sunrise, Oaks, Eagle and River.
During my time there, I was tasked with creating four additional logos — two patriotic-themed and two nature-themed, for additional new facilities constructed adjacent to the hospital, and located in the surrounding communities. At the request of hospital leadership, I designed the patriotic logos for facilities which were dedicated to Wounded Warrior care, and two additional nature-themed logos for outlying clinics of the hospital in nearby communities. I designed the new logos to align with the existing logos, related to color palette, fonts used, and overall theme, with the exception of the Wounded Warrior facilities. The new logos were used in designing interior and exterior signage, printed marketing collateral and numerous additional items for the facilities.
ALL STARS
SPORTING GOODS
BRAND IDENTITY
I designed the All Stars Sporting Goods brand identity as part of a graphic design class project in 2020. All Stars is not an actual sporting goods store, but I was tasked with creating the logo and with designing several items which would portray how the new brand identity could be used within the fictional corporation.
